Women in Denim Inspiration Award

Do you know a woman in agriculture who is an inspiration to those around her? Perhaps you know of a business or organization that exemplifies the spirit of Women in Denim. Nominations for Women in Denim’s Inspiration Award and the Spirit of Women in Denim Award are being accepted for the January 2012 conference to be held in Storm Lake. The Women in Denim Inspiration Award recognizes the contributions of an individual to her family, her community and the world of agriculture. Past winners have been women who have farmed locally for many years to nationally recognized heroines. The group is looking someone who impacts their community through their commitment and work in their neighborhoods or larger areas. The nominee can be a person who quietly works in agriculture or speaks to a national audience for example. The Spirit of Women in Denim Award recognizes a company, organization, or individual that supports and acknowledges the contributions women make to rural life. A business or organization that supports women through educational opportunities, sponsorships or provides a commitment to women who live and work in agriculture would describe the winners of this award. The awards will be presented at the annual Women in Denim conference. Nominations should contain information about the nominee and why they should be considered.
